<description>Hello, great thoughts. In My opinion and I am no expert, I feel life is a series of events, moments. Not all the same, not all handled the same. I think people often themselves are the cause of their own unhappiness because they have expectaions, results THEY want forgetting that often at least 2 or more other people are involved. All having their own priorities and desired results. So having expectayions often ends in disappointment. Once I excepted the fact that 1. life is not fair 2. people by nature care for themselves more than you and 3. life is to short to waste, life became much more easier to handle. Now I take people for what they are which effects how much of my attention they get. aside from the obvious there is really no right or wrong, it is all the current popular opinion of the society we live in. I figure if You wouldn't want someone to do it to You, don't do it to them. I realize that is a simplistic view but as I have grown older ( not always wiser) I have come to believe that all that really matters , that all of us have in common is We are born and we die, everything in between is just filler material that we each allow into our lives. If someone you love cheats on You, does not mean You can at the drop of a hat stop loving them, but after a honest talk your not satisfied, you have to know when it is time to drop them from your universe. If You allow them to effect your emotions, to keep misery in your life it is YOUR fault not theirs. Friends, lovers have to offer us something otherwise they are a positive force in OUR life. We don't have friends who punch you in the mouth every time we meet, they have to somehow inject something of value into our life. If you hang on to people who punch you in the mouth all the time it is your problem and choice. but than what do I know?
have a great day...........</description>

		<description>Reane,

You have it so very wrong and the evidence of this is SO VERY OVERWHELMING. Christianity and the beliefs they have expounded has been proven flawed so many times it goes to show how silly they are. Wars have been waged due to Christian values and the values of other religions. There is NO standard of right or wrong that is correct for every person in every situation.

Your example is ludicrous, and the person who blows all of his money on a car will soon learn that they need to balance their budget and be more careful with their spending. The pain they suffer (feelings) will guide them into knowing they made a bad choice. And making such a bad choice will certainly lead to maturity and understanding.

If you read my full blog, which I am betting that you did not, I gave examples of just such things. One has to weigh up the choices...buy the new car, blow all of my money, starve, be a slave to pay the bills...or buy a car I can afford or ride the bus, have money for food and other necessities, be free...hmmm which choice feels better?

Sorry but Christians who expound such things just don't think for themselves. They believe and with that you shall suffer and cause suffering for those who listen to you. Mark my words.

(I know there are good, thoughtful and wise Christians out there...but they are so hidden by the overwhelming numbers of inmature babies who think they KNOW it all when in fact all they have is belief... which is NOTHING!)

		<description>Michael,

I discovered your web site through Blog Catalogue this morning. I'm looking over your posts now and I'm sure that in the following days/weeks I will enjoy reading here.

One of favorite books is "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. I'm currently reading "The Science of Mind" by Ernest Holmes. Both of these men demonstrate that the way we *think* play an important role not only for our mental and physical wellbeing but also as to what we manifest into our lives. I believe that this theory is true across all religions; that this is true with all people regardless of whether they hold religious beliefs or not.

I've added you as a friend over at Blog Catalogue. 'll be back to visit this blog soon.

<description>My husband is my mentor. He always says that positive thinking generates positive attitude and positive attitude generates positive outlook in life. So I'm learning to think positive and not dwell on my negative thoughts. You have a very good blog but I think it's very long and needs more time to read and digest. But anyway, I found time to really read it though. I will check on new posts every now and then. God bless you and your family!

		<description>Jeremiah 17:9 says,
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

We must be very careful about letting our hearts and our feelings be our guide. Rather, we should let the tried and true standard of right and wrong, set before us in God's Word, be our guide. Our feelings will guide us to what feels good now. God's Word, and God's standard of right and wrong, will guide us to the best life.

Kind of like blowing ALL your money on a new convertible, or investing it in the future. Sure, the convertible is fun now, but will depreciate. The new will wear off, and then you are left wanting again. But investing is the wise thing, and though it doesn't feel good now, it will pay off later.

Maturity is the ability to postpone pleasure.

<description>This blog is commendable. I had been reading blogs for a long time and my general interpretation of life led me to create my blog. Sometimes our thought process is runs haywire and its is we who have to reign in our thoughts for creativity and greater good for ourselves &#38; people around us. god bless.
