Is Polygamy Sinful? Does Killing Feel Good?

I had a friend ask me these questions…

“Do you have any teachings about polygamy? Do you believe it is wrong/sinful to love more than one person at a time while in a committed relationship?”

Is it wrong? There is no such thing as an absolute wrong or right. It depends upon you and your situation and what you want to learn about life and yourself. It depends upon your situation and the people you are involved with and what their desires are and how honest you are being with them. I always tell people to feel their way through right and wrong…good feels good…bad feels bad. I wrote an extensive blog on this topic called What is Right or Wrong? Your Feelings are Your Guide! and speak of this in many of my blogs.

Regarding polygamy or having multiple lovers at the same time…Loving multiple people means you never get too close to any of them. This is because life is TOO FULL…we are all too busy, love, real LOVE takes time. Unless you are independently wealthy, or for some reason you don’t have to work for a living, and you have heaps of free time on your hands, sustaining this sort of thing can be very draining. Great sex, heaps of fun, is quite possible with multiple lovers…also you will have to deal with jealousy and people who grew up in a culture where this sort of thing is taboo and even illegal and all the guilt issues that go along with it.

However you will find a couple of things if you remain open and become aware…what you seek outside of yourself, from other people, you have no control of…but if you look for it inside, it is all there and way beyond what another person can ever offer to you.

Is it sinful??? If you consider the definition of sin to be an error or a mistake…if you consider what your truest desire really is…then one day you will see that it is a mistake. But are your desires a mistake? NO…they MUST be fulfilled so that you can understand this world you live in, so you can understand this life you live, so that you can understand how to satisfy your deepest and truest desires.

Do what feels good. When it stops feeling good, do something else. Be aware. Be loving. LET GO OF ALL JUDGEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I emphasize that enough? JUDGMENT is the BIGGEST SIN of all!

“I’ve been thinking about what you wrote and trying to analyze what you said about sin, mistakes and desires. All my life I have been taught that certain things are sin such as the 10 commandments; thou shall not kill, thou shall not lie etc. However, if you are telling me that one should do what feels good to them, then where do you draw the line of what “sin” is. It can’t be acceptable to kill or hurt people in this life just because it “might feel good” to someone who chooses to do that. So could you please clarify what sin is. I understand that we all have desires and that we all make mistakes, but how does sin fit in our world and how does it change us if it is ok to do anything that feels right. I’m just trying to understand. If you could please clarify, I would appreciate it.”

This is a common misunderstand people have when it comes to their feelings. Killing another person does not feel good. It might seem to you like another person enjoys it, but they do not. They harbor extreme guilt for what they have done, for as long as they remember they have done it.

Harming another person might feel good for a moment, a moment when the one doing the harm has been feeling really miserable due to some sort of stress. If they lash out and do some sort of harm to another there is a moment of release which can and does feel good. But that is only in comparison to how bad they had been feeling. Soon afterwards, their actions feel bad, really horribly bad. If they have any awareness they will notice this. If they are not aware, if they stuff their feelings, they are stuffing illness into their body to come out at some future time. They may even notice that they feel bad soon after the release of energy is finished, but they don’t relate it to what they had done. They just feel bad on a regular basis and consider it normal. Many people are hiding their shame; they try to justify their actions. This is why it seems to you that others can derive pleasure from harming others. But over all they don’t enjoy it, they suffer because of it.

“Another thing as far as sin is concerned. I am a parent of three strong willed kids and constantly am redirecting/teaching wrong choices that they make every day. (Judgement) So what is our role as parents in helping them live their life to the fullest? Kids need direction and guidance, but where do you draw the line with them if they have the right to make “bad” choices and learn from them?”

How can you teach your kids when you do not even understand? This is a very big problem that too many people have. You must become aware and educate yourself first before you can teach another. Certainly most people know how to survive and get by…but we all can do much better than just surviving. We can all learn to thrive and to be joyfully alive. Learn this skill so that you can teach it to your children and to anyone else who suffers in life.

Teach your children what I have been teaching you. Teach them to be in touch with their feelings all of the time and to only do things that feel good. Teach them to be loving and harmless in all of their thoughts, words and deeds. Don’t teach them that it is a sin to harm others, teach them that to harm others will make them feel bad. Teach them to pay attention and soon they will notice this correlation themselves and they will understand how to make good choices for the rest of their lives.

Does Fantasy Really Create? Law of Attraction

I had a friend ask a Law of Attraction related question…

“It’s true that people can bring us down with their negativity. I now separate myself from those people and seem to run into them a lot since I have become more enlightened on the subject. I have noticed myself attracting better roles and more acting work since I have been saying affirmations, believing in myself more and imagining good things happening.

Does fantasizing about how you want a situation to be or the kind of job you want really help bring it about? Can I really create by dreaming a lot about having my future goals? “

YES and NO…

Yes as you already confirmed that you are attracting better roles and more acting work.

No in that there are times we expect a certain outcome…we are really wanting that specific outcome…and after too much time passes without it happening we find ourselves thinking this whole mind over matter stuff is a crock of shit.

The truth is that we are creating with our mind, but we hold so many different thoughts that what we manifest is the sum total of our thoughts, both the good and the bad. Again, we can see this in the example you gave that you are attracting better roles and more acting work because you have been keeping your mind in a more positive state and the being careful about the people you hang out with.

I have found that working backwards from the manifestation of something that has happened in my life that I can pinpoint the thoughts I held that were a match to the manifestation. But I cannot always deliberately focus on something and make it happen quickly. Often I do get quick results from certain thoughts I hold, and it is great fun when that happens, but it does not always happen this way…I cannot depend on it happening that way.

The most important thing is that what you think about affects the quality of your now moment. If you think positive thoughts you live in a positive emotional state…HUGE BENEFIT! This means you can be happy anytime you choose.

If you can hold your mind on positive thoughts such that you are feeling positive emotions this also affects your physical health and it affects how others experience you. These positive thoughts do create something of a positive nature in your immediate future as well, it may not create that exact thing you were just dreaming about right away, but it often allows you to receive something else you have been in the process of creating for a longer period of time.

Each time you fantasize about what you do want you strengthen this skill. When we worry we are really fantasizing about what we do not want. Most people are highly skilled at this side of fantasy. They can hold a negative fantasy in the forefront of their minds for hours and days. So practicing positive fantasies is very beneficial, it becomes a skill you can call upon when your world seems to be going down the toilet. You can use these positive fantasies to bring you back into a positive emotional state which in turn creates the best environment for you to attract to you the best possible outcome in a situation that you may not like very much.

Proof of God, Loss and Immortality

Proof of God Loss ImmortalityThese questions came in one single email from a friend. I broke them into pieces and answered them a section at a time. So although it may appear that I ask a question and my friend answers, that is not the case.

ONE*derful

I view God as a very loving being/entity/energy that sees me as who I am…a part of God. But here’s where I start getting scared and confused….

Sometimes I wonder if God really exists.

I believe what really worries you is if there really is something else after death or not. Do you continue to exist after you die?

Let’s look at it this way…existence is to something, as nonexistence is to nothing. Nothing is not possible, because once you have something, nothing ceases to be. Nonexistence is not possible, because once you have existence, nonexistence ceases to be. If there was ever a state where nothing was, where would something come from? If there was ever a state of nonexistence, where would existence come from? If existence were to end, where would it go, where could it go, how could nonexistence be possible? If you ceased to exist we would all cease to exist. If you truly contemplate these things you will see that the state of nonexistence is impossible.

God is a name for the creator of all things. God is all things, all things are contained within God. Does God really exist? Do you exist? Certainly you exist, thus there must be a God that created you and everything else that exists.

I mean, EVERYbody has their own interpretations of God and the afterlife. They can’t all be right. Most religions claim that they have the whole truth (mormonism seems to have a corner on that market!!). All people can back their claims with ‘miracles’, visitations, religious experiences, you name it.

So this is my first confusion: Why does everybody get their own proof?? That includes not only religions, but also new agers, spiritualists, wiccans, reincarnationists, etc.

Backing their claims up with miracles, visitations and religious experiences does not mean they understand it all. It IS proof to that person that there is more to this world than meets the five senses, but their version of it, their understanding of it, may not be, and for most people who claim such things, is not complete.

Religions were created by unaware and unenlightened humans who were inspired by an aware and enlightened master’s life and deeds. Masters do not start religions…ordinary people do! Some religions, such as Mormonism were started by a person who experienced some sort of divine inspiration and connection with God, but that does NOT make him a “Fully Enlightened Master.” The individual own proof that you asked about is this divine inspiration that a person experienced while connecting with God.

But here is what happens…People take a REALLY HUGE experience and try to stuff it into a very tiny physical reality construct and try to explain it in even more limited words to people who haven’t even had their own divine experience with God so they are even further unable to relate to what is being said which leads to a lot of confusion, and beliefs, and debates.

(Here is a clue…a person who KNOWS, not believes, but KNOWS will not debate. They may teach, they may correct a misstatement by another person, but when it turns into a debate they let go because they KNOW and the other person obviously does not. There is no point or value in debating. A person who debates does not know, they believe, which is NOT knowing. A person who does not know should be asking questions, not debating as if they know.)

A newbie takes their miracles, visitations and religious experiences and somehow tries to fit them into the context they can understand and describe based upon their training and programming. This is natural; there really is nothing else they can do with it. So a person who is heavily steeped in Christian beliefs and has a near death experience may experience Jesus waiting to welcome him on the other side, or if they were terribly evil, did not confess their final sins, or something else may even find the devil waiting to take him away. Or a person who believes in Mohammad would find Mohammad waiting for her to guide her to heaven. Or if a person did not believe anything at all, except it was the end of life, and they were not so nice to some people, they might just experience how their actions felt to the other person. The point is each person experiences something that is compatible with their beliefs and level of awareness.

The ultimate truth of things is that each of us is an incarnation of God, and as such we carry all of the attributes of God…in His image we were created. As such what we think about creates! When we are on the other side, our beliefs influence what we experience there. When we take our non-physical divine experience and try to translate it into the limitation of physical expression we also create a reality that we then begin to experience on a daily basis. Then that person, especially if they are a newbie, can get lost in their own creation and their creation can over time become more real to them than their original experience.

For most people their proof was a single or rare occurrence that they do not have control of. The limitation of their experience does not give them enough time to explore every aspect of the inner workings of creation so they fill in the gaps with whatever it was they believed at the time. Thus a person such as this has the limitation of their own experience when they attempt to present a vision of the spiritual side of life. I too have some of these limitations. I can go very deep into meditation, I get a lot of divine inspiration, I have an inner teacher guiding me, but I cannot yet go into the state of Samadhi at will.

However I have created many big changes in myself which has resulted in many miracles and many amazing coincidences and I continue to change and have such experiences on a regular basis…this is why I speak of the practical nature of spirituality. This gives me the confidence that I do indeed have some level of understanding of spirituality and the nature of life. This level of proficiency I have comes from an understanding that matches what all of the great enlightened masters teach. The more you understand the true nature of life, the more able you are to put it to use and the more practical it becomes. Results…when you understand the true nature of life, you get results by simply changing your mind and the thoughts you think.

Imagine if you were a fly trying to describe an elephant you saw. You came upon him from the front, flew over the top side, landed on his back for a short rest, and then continued flying on right past his rear. You spent nearly five minutes with this elephant before flying off. Another fly, a friend of yours was at his back side but got distracted by the poo he dropped and began feeding immediately. Another fly friend was flying low and flew right under the elephant and just kept on going.

Later you and your two friends meet up and begin to describe this beast you came upon. Your friends swear the elephant was completely grey. But you saw pink patches around his ears and his upper body. One of your friends saw his tail which you saw too, but the other did not. One of your fly friends saw four legs, which you did not really get a good look at, but the other friend saw only two legs. You also saw the trunk and tusks and actually felt his skin and the little bits of hair scattered about. All three of you had a different experience of this elephant and have a different memory. Since you were flies with short lives, that was your one and only experience of an elephant. There were a few other fly friends who had never seen such a beast. Some of them believed in this grey giant who was reportedly the source of unlimited food since they had heard stories like yours before. But most of your other friends thought you were full of crap and imagined the whole thing or were making up stories.

Well that story is a lot like people’s experience with God and the spiritual side of our lives. Many people really are describing the same thing, but from a different perspective. Yes there are plenty of people who have no personal experience, have only read books or listened to the tales of others. Certainly there are many who are simply full of crap. But there are also many fully enlightened masters who have experienced our divine nature in great depth and detail and from many various perspectives too. Some of these masters have left their wisdom and stories of their experience for us to read and gather clues from in order for us all to have our own experiences.

One of the things I have going for me is that I have studied the teaching of many masters who have been able to enter this state of Samadhi at will as well as the teachings of many channelers who have a very clear communication with God and I have had enough of my own Samadhi experiences and guidance too. All of these different teachings I have studied have given me a three dimensional perspective on this really huge concept we call God and spirituality. It is like I have flown all around this elephant and seen it from many, but not all, of the sides it is possible to see it from. Also I have been getting positive feedback from the Universe in the form of RESULTS. Ultimately you must take all of this information, from many different sources, apply what makes the most sense to you, and gain your own experience and results. Belief is of no value except to spur you on to taking action. Knowledge and experience is where the real value is.

My second confusion: If reincarnation is a true reality, then I feel like all of life is hell. I’ll tell you why: Because I love my identity. I have people tell me that this is just my ego talking and that when I realize who I really am (a soul, not Kristy) I will be thrilled to know and losing my identity as Kristy won’t hurt at all.

Your ego-body identity is like a car that you get into or a piece of clothing that you put on. Only some of the real you is inside of this ego-body you identify with. One day this ego-body will get old and worn out and you will be ready to shed it so that the real you, which is inside, can experience the freedom from the limitations this ego-body places upon you.

Your friends are right, when you do lose your identity as Kristy it will not hurt at all, you will be thrilled. You will also realize that the real you, the you that you know, that very same voice you hear inside of your head that you think is Kristy, is still the same…and immortal too! (This realization at death does depend upon how much you wake up now…see my blog The Evolution of a Soul for more details in that regard. But I would expect that someone who is open minded enough to even explore this topic would also be aware of the transition that occurs at death and be able to make the best of it.)

However, you will not really lose your identity as Kristy. Kristy has always existed and always will exist. You can go back and re-experience the life of Kristy anytime you wish. You can experience it the same way you are experiencing it this time, or you can make different choices and live it a different way and have a different experience.

In reality time does not exist, it is all happening now, you are right now being born and you are also right now dying, right now you are also living in the afterlife and all of your past and future lives are also occurring right now too. It is your perspective and your focus in this place of time and space that causes you to experience only this particular isolated experience. Neale Donald Walsh’s book At Home with God in a Life that Never Ends does a great job of describing this in more detail.

Are you sad that you are no longer driving the first car you ever had? If you could have it back, right now, in its brand new condition, would you want it back? How about your old clothes? Are you sad that you do not have them to wear right now? What if you could have the brand new version of the clothes you wore twenty years ago, would you want to wear them today?

If I truly HAVE lived other lives, then I most surely loved my identity in many of them, and also loved other people (spouses, lovers, children, etc.). And yet I don’t remember a single one of the past people of my other selves (except I sometimes have glimpses of memory that are very intense and real and could be little memories of past lives…??). This makes me sad that all those loves and lives are forgotten. And it brings me little comfort thinking that my ’soul’ retains the memories and the lessons from those lives.

Here’s the deal, though: I am SO happy in this existence right now. My husband is a walking god and he treats me like a queen. He never judges me. He loves me unconditionally. He makes me feel valued, loved, adored, cherished, and even makes me feel HOLY. He is so compassionate and generous and nearly perfect to me. And then there’s my children. I have four of them, ages 27, 15, 6 and 3 (QUITE THE AGE SPAN, EH???) I ADORE my children. One of them (the six year old) is special needs…she has Sotos Syndrome.

You could not have this experience you are SO happy to be having if you remembered your past lives and everything else about yourself. If you remembered how you murdered someone, or lied, cheated and stole your guilt would get in your way and you would feel too inferior to do the great things you shall do now. If you remembered how wealthy you once were you would be sad to live in this limitation. If you remembered how passionately you were in romantic love with your child in a past life, you might be frustrated or confused now, you might commit acts that were illegal or jeopardize your relationship with your husband. If you remembered how badly your husband abused you in a past life, you might not trust him in this life. (This is a generalized response for all people and not intended to state an absolute truth about the past lives of Kristy. However, from the best of my awareness we all have some dramatically negative experiences in our pasts.) And if you truly remembered who you really are, the complete story, the full picture of Life itself, you would not be able to experience anything negative because you would know this manifest world is not real, you would not be able to experience anything positive because without negative there is no positive.

There is a reason you forget it all…forgetting is what makes this experience possible. Without forgetting, you could not have any of this. You wanted to feel sad, angry, and frightened that is why you created it this way. You would not feel that if you knew you were God, if you knew you were totally fine no matter what happened. The realizations that I have of how life works prevents me from being able to experience certain things that I used to love and other people still do love experiencing. I no longer enjoy playing games, but I do enjoy watching others enjoy. I no longer enjoy hanging out with other people for idle chit chat and discussing the news, the shows, the weather, the gossip, whatever, but I do enjoy experiencing their joy with this part of life. I simply enjoy being and I enjoy creating, I enjoy helping others and I enjoy experiencing my creations. Remembering who you are and what you are takes away a lot of possibilities.

Are you SO happy that you want to relive this day over and over, never moving forward to the next day? If tomorrow comes things will change. Did you see the movie Groundhog’s Day ? It is a very accurate description of how life really is. We can and do actually re-experience our lives and make different choices. Although the memory of the details of what happens does not remain in your conscious mind, your desires and what you don’t desire, which grew from each choice made and each experience gained, causes you to make the choices you make now.

Thus when it comes time for your life to end, that too is a choice, it is a point of completion that you naturally come to with this life experience you call Kristy. It is simply moving on to the next form you want life to take. In your other incarnations your husband and kids will certainly be there too, but playing different roles. Perhaps not in every moment of them, but they are not involved with every moment of your life even now. And one day they will all be grown up and move away from home; perhaps to another part of the world…life is always changing. Are you saying you just want a Groundhog’s Day sort of life where this day never changes and keeps repeating?

Here is a huge fear of mine: I fear that if reincarnation is a true principle, then I’ll lose “Kristy” forever once I “die”, and then I will also lose KARL forever. It makes me cling to every moment in this life, but instead of doing it joyfully, I do it in immense fear. I feel like God gave me the most beautiful soul imaginable to share my life with (and my kids, too), and then he’ll take it all away when I die. It almost feels like a big huge cosmic joke. I had a friend write and tell me that “God doesn’t kill to save” but I would like her to elaborate more on that.

So are you happy or are you miserable? You said earlier that you were SO happy in this existence and now you are saying you cling to your life with immense fear. It is when you are grateful for what you do have and when you are present in your now experience that you are SO happy. It is when you worry about these things you don’t understand and cling as if you will lose something that you are in fear and misery. So stop the clinging and the worry…let the feeling of fear be an alarm bell going off that tells you that you are using your mind incorrectly. You are creating fear with your thoughts. You could be creating happiness by being grateful for the moment instead. The choice is yours. It depends upon what you do with your mind.

You will not lose anything. You ARE everything. Life as we experience it here and now, an experience that you are SO happy to be experiencing, is an experience of limitation and of separation. When you really do experience that you are everything and have everything it will be an experience of bliss beyond description…which also gets old so we choose limitation for “a period of time” so we can experience something other than pure bliss. Obviously we get bored easily that is why we constantly change. But that is to be expected since this all goes on forever and has already been going on forever.

I cannot bear the thought of not having my dear Karl forever. It is HELL to me. That would be hell to not have Karl. And it would be hell for me to lose my identity and his.

So don’t think those thoughts if you cannot bear to have them. It is you who are putting yourself into hell. And those thoughts are simply not true. Karl will always exist, just as you always exist.

I sometimes feel (in weaker moments) that if God exists, he is an asshole because he makes it so hard for his children to know who he REALLY is. WHY is there so much confusion? I don’t read scriptures anymore, but when I did, I remember God saying that “he isn’t a god of confusion”. I beg to differ!

Of course God exists, because you are God and you exist. I already explained why we forget…since you do not remember who you are it can be confusing. But if you were not confused, many of these experiences that you are SO happy to have would not be possible.

I have several friends who are really into “ACIM” (A Course in Miracles). This makes no sense to me thus far, because according to ACIM, God created a “son” (Christ Jesus) who was perfect. God cannot create anything that isn’t perfect. According to ACIM, God’s perfect son had an imperfect thought (a “tiny mad moment”) about separation, and as a result, fell asleep. Christ then had a dream of separation, and the result is “us”. The dream is US and also many reincarnated lives having many different experiences…and they teach that this entire life and any other life or planet or universe is all an illusion. NOTHING exists but God.

It has been at least fourteen years since I read ACIM but I don’t believe it refers to God’s son as Christ Jesus, but as Christ. We are all that son…Jesus was aware of being Christ, we are all Christ but most of us still don’t know it. The rest of what you said is pretty much true. This is an illusion. But it sure seems pretty real doesn’t it! Thank God for separation and forgetting and illusions, otherwise this experience we are all having would not be possible. If you really remembered this would all disappear…but do not worry, because you remember this illusion as well, it would all come back to you anytime you decided to be in separation again.

The fallacy in this, for me, is that if God creates nothing but perfection, then he can’t have a perfect son that can have an imperfect thought, let alone an imperfect dream about separation. That would make God imperfect and that just can’t be.

God is a dichotomy. Multiple, conflicting things are all true at the same time. At the basis of it all however is perfection. We simply are. We exist. We are Life itself. We cannot be destroyed and there is nothing outside of us. We are All That Is. There is nothing lacking, we have everything we need and will ever need. All the while this is true, we are also living in a body and take on a perspective that we are small and tiny amongst a vast creation. Pain and suffering seems to happen and we call this imperfect. In a perfect world we would not suffer. So the impossible has been made possible, yet the impossible and the imperfection can all disappear the moment we remember and expand beyond this tiny perspective we have chosen.

I love Neale Donald Walsch’s stuff, except for I literally sobbed (wailed) when I read the part that we FOREVER reincarnate. That is hell to me. I also REALLY struggle over Neale’s teaching that God is forever changing and expanding. I thought God was the same today, now and forever? ?????? Why would God need to experience things if he already knows everything? I realize that knowledge and experience are two different things. I can know ABOUT jumping out of a plane with a parachute, but I can’t truly have a full knowledge without the experience. But still…

Why not reincarnate forever? Do you have a better idea of what to do with forever? You can be God, you can be whole and complete anytime you choose. But right now you are not choosing that. Right now you are choosing to be deeply entrenched in this illusion we all have created, for the fun of it, for the experience of it, in order to utilize our creative powers. What is boredom? Boredom comes from not using your power. Even though being whole and complete is bliss it also becomes boring when it lasts forever. Thus you use your power to create, forever!

What God really and truly is never does change. But the creations of God never cease, why should they? What if God just stopped creating and experiencing? FOREVER! Wouldn’t that be boring?

I am rambling and pouring out my deepest feelings, and I have yet so many more to touch on. But I don’t want to keep you here all day. I hope you can help me and bring some light to these subjects. I am so tired of losing things and I don’t want to lose my darling Karl or my children, let alone my identity or theirs. It makes life seem meaningless.

Life IS meaningless! Life has NO meaning. Life simply is. That means there are NO musts, and NO shoulds, and NO things you have to do. We do it all by choice. We are free.

Do not focus on what you have lost. That is a mind game that will only bring you pain and suffering. Focus on what is, focus on what you do have, and be in gratitude for it. What if you had ten thousand friends, lovers, parents and children all in your home with you right now? If you added up all the loved ones from all of your incarnations it would come out to a large number such as this, perhaps much larger. How would you talk to them all? How could you have an experience with them all? How could you do that?

When you have two hands full, you must let go of one thing in order to pick up something else. The fact that you want to keep it all, hold it all, play with it all, is why life keeps changing and you move from one form to another, one lifetime to another, one relationship to another, so that you can interact with it all, so that you don’t lose any of it, so that you experience all of it. You have all of eternity to experience Karl and your children and the rest of your family which we call humanity. Be happy about that.

All is in Divine Perfection.

The Big Picture and the Nature of Understanding

A friend made the following comment in my blog The Evolution of a Soul

Psy  What are we exactly when we are not in a physical body and we are just in a mental or psychic body? What would I look like to a physical body if I were just a mental and psychic body? Is that what ghosts are… the paranormal… orbs? And while we are in a physical body living in a physical lifetime, can we experience what it’s like to be just a mental body or a psychic body? I ask this question because there’s been several times I have dissociated and depersonalized from myself ( both on and not on drugs) and I did not feel like a physical being but rather as something else I couldn’t explain…

Also, as you [Michael Skowronski] said [in the blog Evolution of a Soul]:

”If in a lifetime where sexual appetites were created by a man who forced sex upon his own or other children, or others who were physically weaker than he was, then a lifetime where he is unwillingly forced to meet the sexual appetites of others is created. You will find that in some past eras this was considered natural and normal in certain cultures and in this era it is considered perverted. As many individuals have experienced both sides of this issue humanity as a whole has changed its view on the situation and it is rare to find a culture that supports it.”

Is this why there is an overwhelming amount of rapes, abortions, and sexual abuse on the planet? If humanity as a whole has changed it’s view on forced sex especially involving children, then was it ever okay or was it always wrong? Are we wrong for thinking it’s wrong or are we right for changing our view? For thinking it’s wrong, is that why sexual dysfunctions and tortures disturb our planet?

Wow, those are deep questions…

I think this might help you to understand who you are compared to manifest reality and your various bodies…

Consider your MySpace pages. You created them, put pictures, and music, and videos on them. You wrote out your thoughts in blogs and in other symbolic ways.

Now what if it were possible to project just a bit of your consciousness into that creation? What if you could distinctly experience living on your MySpace profile page both as an observer and also as a visitor to your page? When a visitor came and had a look you experienced their visit, you could tell how much time they spent, you felt their feelings your creation evoked in them as well as your reaction to the way they felt about your page. While all of this was occurring you mostly experienced yourself as your human self outside of your computer, the creator of the profile page and blogs, who was taking in the various experiences of the visitors to your pages.

What are We when We are not in a physical body?

We just are. Our physical bodies exist inside of the real Us, it is not the other way around. We only put a part of Our focus inside of the body for a period of time. In one sense We are always NOT in a physical body. In another sense We are always in numerous physical bodies. This is due to the fact that it all happens in the now. There is no such thing as time. Or you could see time as just a specific point of focus within Our divine creation. The big We is aware of the small ego being focused inside of the body, while that small ego being is NOT aware of the big We…but then that is the purpose of our physical body; it is the vehicle for our ego being to experience just a limited portion of creation.

What would I look like to a physical body if I were just a mental and psychic body? Is that what ghosts are… the paranormal… orbs?

Those in mental and psychic bodies are invisible to those in the physical body.

I have not seen ghosts, the paranormal or orbs. I have however read what masters have said about such things, and I have had inner experiences of such things, but not physical ones as in seeing ghosts or orbs with my eyes. So take what I say next from that perspective…

The sensors of your physical body pick up vibrations of physical objects. You simultaneously inhabit a mental and psychic body while in a physical body. Vibrations picked up by the physical sensors impress upon the mental and psychic bodies. Impressions from psychic and mental bodies do create vibrational and chemical changes in the physical body. Thus I would say that when a person “sees” a ghost or an orb it is in reality a vibration picked up by the psychic or mental bodies that has impressed itself on the physical body thus creating the experience of seeing it while in reality the physical sensors are not really picking it up at all.

And while we are in a physical body living in a physical lifetime, can we experience what it’s like to be just a mental body or a psychic body?

Yes masters do this with great skill and no the average person does not…However, it is easy for anyone to have a partial experience of these three distinct bodies. The limitations that still bind you and I as well as most of humanity, obviously do not bind all human beings. Again I am going on the writings of many who have conscious and deliberate control of experiences that many of us have only experienced do to trauma, near death experiences, spontaneous rapturous Samadhi, or drugs. The thing that is interesting is that there are those who describe in great depth that which most of us never experience or only experience rarely and briefly.

A good practice to engage in, one that will give you this experience... close your eyes and do some deep breathing with the intention of relaxing deeply. Then take turns focusing on your physical senses, your emotional feelings, and your mental thoughts. Carefully focus and observe each distinctly for a period of time then move on to the next body of experience.

For example you can focus on how your hands feel on your lap, you can open and close your eyes, feeling the eye lids and noticing the visual image, you can focus on what you hear. Make only slight and gentle movements and observe.

Then switch to your emotional feelings, observe how you feel emotionally. If you are doing this correctly you will probably feel calm and peaceful. So to feel other things you will need to think about something that was embarrassing or painful or happy or something you judge. But don’t focus on the thoughts, focus on how the thoughts affect your emotional state. That is observing your psychic body. And this is how you can psychically read others too. By focusing on another person and how your emotions feel you can gain an understanding of what is going on in the mind of another. This is because our thoughts directly affect our emotional/psychic body and you can relate those feelings to the nature of their thoughts.

Then switch to your thoughts. Observe your thoughts in a way that is detached from the feelings they create. Think about thinking and observe. Be creative. Construct an orange, and apple, a hand, a building…do it all with your mind.

Then notice how easy it was to lose track of your physical body while thinking or feeling. Move between these three different points of focus many times. Just as there is a physical world or dimension, there is a distinct psychic or emotional world and there is also a distinct mental or noetic dimension too. Exercises like this will help you become more adept in moving in these dimensions and eventually the grander reality of these dimensions we share in common with all other beings. Again, I will emphasize that I am reporting what I have learned through reading, which is reinforced with only a novice’s level of experience. In NO WAY do I claim mastery over these dimensions or experiences.

Those in mental and psychic bodies are invisible to those in the physical body.

Is this why there is an overwhelming amount of rapes, abortions, and sexual abuse on the planet?

I suspect the “overwhelming amount” is due to awareness rather than actual occurrences. I suspect, and have seen statistics, that state in fact there is far less now, as a percentage of the population, than in the past. Due to mass media and people coming out into the open, the horrific events seem bigger now than in the past, when in reality it was happening more in the past but it was not being reported in such a big way.

If humanity as a whole has changed it’s view on forced sex especially involving children, then was it ever okay or was it always wrong?

God divide Himself up into many very small fragments of focus, each with undeveloped memory, personality, and habits of thought and entered into Her animal creation that we know as Homosapien. In the beginning this fragment of God simply experienced an animal existence, not knowing or understanding the consequences of His thoughts and actions. In time memory, habits of thought and personality developed along with understanding and the ability to change these habits of thought and action.

The idea of right and wrong is flawed. At one point we did not understand. Now more of us do, and some of us are still learning. Was it always wrong? Abusive behaviors always caused pain and suffering, this much is true.  However in the past the pain and suffering was probably less because the society had not created judgments of such actions yet, there was no condemnation of promiscuous sexual behaviors, there was probably less resistance on behalf of the victim thus the perpetrator was just asserting their superior physical strength much as we see animals do.

Are we wrong for thinking it’s wrong or are we right for changing our view? For thinking it’s wrong, is that why sexual dysfunctions and tortures disturb our planet?

Harming another always causes pain and suffering. Judgment also causes pain and suffering. Go back to the exercise I gave earlier and think different things and feel how each thing feels. When you move into judgmental thoughts you will feel pain and you will suffer. So just like a sexual predator will eventually gain enough experience to understand the consequences of their actions so will one who judges gain enough experience to understand the consequences of their actions too.

I would say that sexual interactions have occurred between an adult and a child that are pleasant and are appreciated. This is NOT spoken from experience, but from reports I have heard from others. However, such interactions are very likely to lead to habits of strong desire and many more interactions which are NOT pleasant and NOT appreciated.

It is my guess that this is how this whole mess began. I don’t really believe that any of us sought evil for the sake of evil, but that we developed evil habits of thought and action due to a lack of understanding of where certain thoughts and actions would lead us. We gained this understanding of evil by experiencing the pain of our thoughts and actions. Judgment and punishment has pushed those who were slow to understand and change deeper into their dysfunctional states until it appeared as if they were intentionally evil. Now such beings have a long road to travel to pull themselves out of the very deep habits they have created within themselves.

I hope that as you read this you can understand just how harmful and destructive judgment is. In many ways judgment produces the greatest harm of all. I say this because people with seemingly loving hearts and rational minds still believe judgment of certain things are appropriate and necessary.

How Can Empaths Buffer and Protect Themselves?

There are people who feel the moods, emotions and intentions of other people when they come upon them or think about them. In some cases when there is a close family connection, like spouse or children, they will spontaneously feel it when a dramatic change in emotions occurs in their loved one. We call these people an empath. When walking into a room full of people they can be overwhelmed with all of the emotional content of the room; it can be quite trying at times.  If their loved one has hurt their back, or has a migraine, or feels panic, or unrest, or whatever, before the loved one even comes home or calls, the empath’s back hurts or they feel a sense of panic, just like their loved one was feeling. Often these empaths heal those who suffer by taking on the injury or emotional stress themselves.

My late wife Kathryn had this gift, which can sometimes feel like a curse. When I first met her she did not know how to buffer and protect herself. Some members of her family and some of her friends would think she was crazy if she ever talked about it with them. Kathryn knew she had this gift, but she did not know how to buffer and protect herself. I have had more than one friend write me with this same problem asking…

How Can Empaths Buffer and Protect Themselves?

First you need to know that being an empath is normal and natural, but perhaps only one percent of the population (a guesstimate) is empathic like this. However it is quite common to find such people due to the fact that one percent of 6.5 billion people comes out to 6.5 million people with such ability.

Did you read my blog Helping Others – Reiki, Energy, and Physical Support? The story in that blog is about my first Reiki experiences with Kathryn taken from my book Unforgettable: A Love and Spiritual Growth Story. It describes how her empathic and psychic abilities came out and how she taught me to use my mind properly for energy healing. My book gives more real life examples of how this gift manifested in Kathryn and how it impacted our lives. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is learning how to deal with being an empath.

Intention is the key to buffering and protecting yourself. At some point in your eternal life you decided being and empathic healer was what you wanted to do and experience. Now that you have experienced it, you realize you need to protect yourself too. So now you need to make it your intention to learn this skill of buffering yourself. For me buffering myself comes easy and naturally, but I have to be more deliberate and intentional to get in touch with my psychic skills. For the empath the opposite is true. But you can do it. When I say make it your intention that means to be clear in your mind, stop and think about it, ask yourself, “Is this really important to me?” Then decide “YES! I will learn this. God please bring me the exact guidance I need” and practice!

To buffer yourself you need to learn to care for yourself more. You care very deeply about other people and this is why you are so open to receiving their energy. It is okay to receive the message that a loved one is suffering and in what way they are suffering, but then it is time to turn it off before it does you any harm. You need to deliberately reprogram yourself such that you remember to consciously turn off the empathy and do the prayers and visualizations required to protect yourself.

The basic thing you need to do at the time you feel their pain is to say a brief prayer, surround them with love and light, ask the Holy Spirit to give them the energy they need to resolve their own problem and then detach yourself from them and their energy.

Begin visualizing your own energy flowing to you from God and staying with you. To protect your energy field you can combine the two visualizations I give below, start by drawing the star and then surround yourself and the star with the white luminous egg shaped energy field. These visualizations are important because they will create real energy forms called elementals that protect you and let you be you while these others can be themselves.

In this blog Meditation and the Wandering Mind I explain the process of meditation, the purpose of meditation, the importance of practice, and why you must stick with it even if you feel it is difficult. I encourage you to read that blog too so I don’t have to re-explain those things here in this blog.

The important visualization you need to practice is to imagine yourself being surrounded by a white luminous egg shaped energy field. Another visualization to practice and use is the five pointed star. Imagine yourself standing with legs spread and arms stretched out to your side. Start drawing a line with white light from your left hand across your body to the right hand, then down to the left foot, then up to the crown of your head, then down to the right foot, and finally back to the left hand to complete the five pointed star. Draw the star so that you are inside of the star.

So to summarize what you need to do…

1. Be aware you are picking something up, acknowledge it.
2. Send them the healing energy they need.
3. Protect yourself, separate yourself from their energy. Be deliberate, be intentional and it will happen.

On a similar note I had situation with my own mother where she was taking energy from me, even though we lived 1300 miles away from each other. I used a different visualization and got a very dramatic result. That story is also in my book…if you liked this blog you really do need to read this book. This and many other personal experiences I have had tell me that our minds have a lot of power. Taking the time to be intentional in our thoughts really does make a difference.
