By the time our counseling appointment date came many days had passed.
Our marriage seemed stronger than ever. I remember driving to
our session and laughing about how we no longer needed counseling;
divorce no longer threatened us and our relationship as a couple
seemed destined to last forever. However, we were both glad that
we kept that counseling session.
I was not impressed with a previous premarital
counseling session I had been to for my first marriage. So I had
preconceived notions about what a couple might expect from a relationship
counseling session.
This time our counselor was fantastic!
We both went expecting him to tell the other one how wrong they
were. Instead nearly the opposite occurred. We both discovered
how appropriate we each were. Yet we also learned how we each
could improve our communication skills and where our expectations
of the other were out of alignment with reality.

Telephone and Online Counseling is often a better option for you.
When you receive counseling or life-coaching services in person you
have to make an appointment, commute to it, and stay and pay for the
whole hour. Unless you take detailed notes or record the session you
are very likely to miss something that was said or forget some of the
great advise you paid good money for.
Cost is not an issue! A one hour phone
conversation between Australia and the USA cost less than one dollar when using a
calling card. It would probably cost you more than that to comute to a local
counselors office.
I find that it is best to use the telephone for our first
session. For this you will need to make an appointment,
but you still only pay for the time you use. I record these sessions so
you can go back and listen to them again if you feel that you need to.
For subsequent sessions you may find that a quick online chat
or email will get you the answers you need. You can do this when
you feel like it and when you have time. Your issue may only require
a quarter of an hour of time and that is all you should have to
pay for.
Because online coaching is done in writing you can go back and re-read
it and be sure you have not missed something. This
is a very important benefit to you
because when you are asking a question you are often not in the
place to receive the answer. You are in the place of having a problem
and although you are seeking a solution, you often just want someone
to hear you and have compassion.

All packages are priced by the hour of my time. This means if you and
your partner or child are on the phone with me at the same time it is covered. Or a half
hour with you and a half hour with the other party totals one hour of my time.
