Counselling
or Life Coaching is there a difference?
Life Coaching is a bit like counseling, but the term "Life Coach"
implies a few changes to the counselling paradigm:
- There is still a stigma about counselling, it's like admitting there
is something wrong with you. Those that are seeking counselling are
usually seeking a solution to a problem.
- Receiving Life Coaching implies a deliberate decision to fine tune
and optimize your life skills. You may be aware of ideas and beliefs
you hold about how unworthy or inadequate you are, but deep down you
know it is not true.
At the core of your being you know that there is nothing wrong
with you, that you are perfect the way you are. Yet you still
have new talents you wish to develop and new experiences you desire
having.
The term "Life Coaching" honors the unique talents and abilities
you have as well as your inherent worth as a spiritual/human being.
Similar to the olympian you see with their coach on TV... you may
have respect for the coach, but it is the athlete that does the hard
work that ultimately wins the gold!
- You are the one in charge of this process. You sign up with your
coach so that you have someone to push you harder than you might push
yourself. Yet it is you who chooses the goal.
- Your coach is there to cheer you on, to help you fine tune your
skills, to present the newest techniques that give you the edge over

Online Counselling
and Life Coaching is often a better option for you.
When you receive these services in person you have to make an appointment,
commute to it, and stay and pay for the whole hour. Unless you take detailed
notes or record the session you are very likely to miss something that
was said or forget some of the great advise you paid good money for. With
the online version of this service when you need assistance you simply
send an email. You can do this when you feel like it and when you have
time. Your issue may only require a quarter of an hour of time and that
is all you should have to pay for.
Because online coaching is done in writing you can go back and re-read
it and be sure you have not missed something. This
is a very important benefit to you
because when you are asking a question you are often not in the
place to receive the answer. You are in the place of having a problem
and although you are seeking a solution, you often just want someone
to hear you and have compassion.
We can even do your session via an online
chat or the telephone. For this you will need to make an appointment,
but you still only pay for the time you use. Due to its real-time interactive
nature this option can quicken the process of getting the answers and
guidance you need. I record these sessions so you can go back and listen
